Bengaluru Man Loses Rs 32 Lakh in WhatsApp Dating Scam
Imagine someone online contacts you saying they have a special service to introduce you to fancy people for dates.
First, they ask for a small fee to sign up.
Then, they show you pictures and you pick someone to talk to on WhatsApp, and they promise a meeting.
But just before you're supposed to meet, they say you need to pay more money for things like 'coordination' or 'membership.'
They keep asking for more and more money, and even when you've paid a lot, like over 32 lakh rupees, they still ask for more.
