Kamal Amrohi’s Son Claims He Wrote Mughal-E-Azam Dialogues
Mughal-E-Azam was a very large and expensive Indian film.
Kamal Amrohi’s son, Tajdar Amrohi, says his father wrote all of the film’s dialogues.
He claims Amrohi was paid Rs 10,000 for each scene.
According to Tajdar, this added up to about Rs 2 lakh.
Tajdar says Amrohi argued with director K Asif and left the film for a time.
He says Asif later asked Amrohi to finish the writing.
Tajdar also claims that other writers received credit when the film was released.
These claims come from Tajdar’s account, while the released film listed several writers.
The story is therefore about both Amrohi’s alleged contribution and the dispute over credit.
