CMAML to study Ooty ropeway feasibility
CMAML, a company that works with Chennai Metro Rail, is going to study if a ropeway system would work well in Ooty.
This system is like a cable car that can take people up and down the hilly areas.
The goal is to make it easier for people to get around and to help the environment by using a transport method that doesn't pollute as much.
They have hired a company from Bengaluru and another from Switzerland to help them with this study.
The study will cost about ₹96,63,011.
The hope is that this new system will make Ooty a better place for tourists to visit and will help the local people get around more easily.
CMAML is preparing a feasibility report for a high-altitude ropeway system in Ooty.
The project aims to enhance transit infrastructure and promote sustainable mobility in ecologically sensitive areas.
The ropeway system is expected to provide safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly transport options.
Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, Bengaluru, and Outdoor Engineers AG, Switzerland, have been appointed as consultants for the project.
The contract value for the consultancy services is ₹96,63,011.
