Maharashtra Extends HSRP Deadline to June 30, Vehicle Services Affected
The government in Maharashtra has given vehicle owners more time to put special license plates (HSRP) on their cars.
These plates are for security.
The deadline was pushed back to June 30, 2025, because many people hadn't put them on yet.
If you don't have the plates by the new deadline, you might not be able to do things like transfer your car's ownership or get new registration papers.
However, if you've booked an appointment to get the plates, you'll still be able to get these services.
The government wants everyone to follow this rule to make sure vehicle information is secure.
Maharashtra extends the deadline for High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) installation to June 30, 2025.
The initial deadline was March 31, 2025, but was extended due to widespread non-compliance.
The extension follows notifications from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Maharashtra State Transport Commissioner.
From June 16, 2025, vehicle services will be suspended for non-compliant vehicles.
Vehicle owners with HSRP installation appointments can still access services.
