Spain deploys troops to contain swine fever
Spain has sent over 100 soldiers to help stop a disease called African swine fever.
This disease makes pigs very sick, but it doesn't hurt people.
The soldiers are working with local officials in a big park near Barcelona where two wild boars were found with the disease.
They are using drones and other tools to clean the area and find more animals.
The disease might have come from a contaminated sausage eaten by a boar, but they're not sure.
Spain is very worried because it's a big producer of pork and sells it to many countries.
Some of those countries have stopped buying pork from Spain for now.
The government is asking people to stay calm and be careful so the disease doesn't spread to farms.
The outbreak has also affected the prices of hog futures in the U.S., causing them to close lower due to market uncertainty.
Spain deployed 117 troops to contain African swine fever outbreak in Collserola Natural Park near Barcelona.
Two dead boars tested positive for the disease, with eight potential cases under investigation.
The virus may have come from contaminated sausage consumed by a boar, but this is unconfirmed.
Spain is the world's third-largest pork exporter, with almost 3 million tonnes exported annually.
A third of Spain's pork export markets have halted imports as a precautionary measure, including China, which later allowed exports from unaffected regions.
