Karnataka Leadership Change Speculation Intensifies
There is a lot of talk about who will be the next chief minister in Karnataka, a state in India.
The current chief minister is Siddaramaiah, and there are rumors that D K Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister, might take over.
Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Congress party, said that this is not something to be discussed publicly.
Shivakumar also said that it is a secret deal among a few people and he does not want to talk about it publicly.
Both leaders are trying to avoid causing any trouble within the party.
Some people in the party are supporting Shivakumar to become the chief minister, but Shivakumar says he is not asking for it.
The party is also considering a cabinet reshuffle, which could affect who becomes the next chief minister.
Basavaraja Rayareddy, a key advisor to Siddaramaiah, questioned the need to replace Siddaramaiah, stating that he should complete his full five-year term.
B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, another close aide, reiterated that Siddaramaiah will remain in office till 2028 and will be succeeded by Shivakumar.
