NIA Interrogates JeM Suspect and Aides in West Bengal
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is asking questions of a man named Hamim Mondal and his helper Arpita Sarkar.
They were caught by the West Bengal Police.
The NIA thinks they are part of a dangerous group from Pakistan called Shahzad Bhatti Network.
The NIA also wants to talk to another helper, Aditya Singh, who was arrested that same day.
They hope to learn who else is in the group and how they talk to each other.
The police say that the group tried to trick the families of six important people in the state government.
The NIA is looking at phones and messages to find more clues.
NIA interrogated suspected JeM associate Hamim Mondal and aide Arpita Sarkar after their arrest by West Bengal Police STF.
Both suspects are linked to the Pakistan‑based Shahzad Bhatti Network, a terrorist‑criminal group.
NIA plans to question Aditya Singh, Mondal’s second aide, who was arrested earlier that day.
Investigators aim to uncover the network’s structure, communication methods, and identify additional members in West Bengal.
SBN handlers reportedly targeted family members of six West Bengal cabinet ministers and other officials through Sarkar.
