Lalbaugcha Raja Immersion Delayed by Tide and Technical Issues
The yearly farewell of the Lalbaugcha Raja statue was late because of high tides.
The high water level and issues with a special raft made it hard to put the statue in the sea.
The idol started its journey on the morning of September 6.
They had to wait for the tide to go down to safely put the statue on the raft.
Devotees waited patiently, and the final ceremony happened around 8:30 p.m.
The statue was immersed at 9 pm, but was delayed by the sea conditions.
The immersion procession started at 10:30 a.m. on September 6.
The idol reached Girgaum Chowpatty around 8 a.m. the next day.
High tide and technical issues caused the delay.
The idol was placed on a special floating raft.
Immersion was expected to happen after 10:30 p.m.
