Opposition Demands Girish Mahajan's Resignation Over Nashik Kumbh Work Order

Every so often, a very big festival called the Simhastha Kumbh Mela is planned in the city of Nashik in India.

Before the festival, many projects like roads and buildings need to be completed.

Some people say that fake papers, called 'work orders,' were used for some of this work.

They believe this might be a way to cheat and take money unfairly.

A minister named Girish Mahajan is in charge of the department connected to this work.

Several opposition parties think he should resign, which means step down from his job, while an investigation happens.

They protested outside the District Collector's office in Jalgaon, carrying soap and sanitiser to show they want to 'clean up corruption.'

They also brought a magnifying glass to ask for a closer look at how the money is being spent.

The politicians want a fair investigation, possibly by the CBI or a retired judge, to find out what really happened.
