Thane MACT Awards ₹62.19 Lakh in Tanker Collision Case
Imagine a man named Mohan was driving his car, and a milk tanker truck suddenly swerved and crashed into him.
Sadly, Mohan died because of this accident.
The court decided that the truck driver was mostly at fault, but Mohan also had a small part in it.
So, the court ordered the truck owner and insurance company to pay Mohan's family money to help them.
The court considered how much money Mohan used to make, and also looked at what the family asked for initially.
The court also decided that even though the insurance company said the driver didn't have the correct paperwork, there was no proof.
The money awarded is to help his family.
MACT awarded ₹62.19 lakh to the family of a man killed in a 2019 tanker accident.
The accident occurred on Kalyan-Nagar Highway when a tanker collided with the victim's car.
The victim, Mohan Shiroshe, died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.
The court found the tanker driver 80% responsible and the deceased 20% responsible.
