Centre for Wildlife Studies Joins Shikshagraha Movement
The Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) has joined the Shikshagraha movement, which aims to improve all public schools in India.
This partnership focuses on making environmental learning a big part of school education.
At an event called Shiksha Samvaad, they launched new resources like the Wild Shaale Educator’s Guidebook, which helps teachers include nature and wildlife topics in their lessons.
CWS will work with Shikshagraha to create more environmental education materials, train teachers, and show how these ideas can make a real difference in schools.
The goal is to help children understand and care for nature, which will benefit their communities and the environment.
Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) officially joined the Shikshagraha movement to embed environmental consciousness in India’s public schools.
The Wild Shaale Educator’s Guidebook and Education Toolkit were launched to help teachers integrate environmental learning into classrooms.
CWS will lead the Environment Sub-Collective and support the Exemplary Shikshagraha Intervention in Mysuru district.
The Shikshagraha movement aims to improve all 1 million public schools in India, with a focus on quality education and community involvement.
CWS and Shikshagraha will collaborate to create resources, train educators, and demonstrate the impact of environmental education on children’s learning and well-being.
