Amazon Ending Prime Feature, Impacting Customers
Amazon is getting rid of a program called Prime Invitee that allowed Prime members to share free shipping with others.
This change, starting October 1st, affects people who were part of the program.
Instead, Amazon wants users to use Amazon Family, where only family members in the same home can share benefits.
Those affected by the change can get a deal for 12 months of Prime for a lower price.
Amazon says this helps them better provide their services.
To set up Amazon Family, users can go to their Prime settings and invite members.
Amazon is discontinuing its Prime Invitee program.
The program allowed Prime members to share benefits like free shipping.
Prime Invitee ends on October 1st, 2024.
Amazon Family is the replacement program, but requires shared address.
Impacted users can get a 12-month Prime deal for $14.99.
