DU Withdraws 30-Minute Video Requirement for End-Term Assessment
The University of Delhi has decided to remove the rule that required fourth-year students to submit a 30-minute video as part of their final exams.
This rule was part of the new National Education Policy.
The university said that students' grades won't be held back because of this change.
Some people were worried that the video requirement was unfair because not all students have access to good technology or comfortable places to record.
They also thought that videos might not be a good way to judge research work.
The change only applies to the seventh semester, not the eighth.
Some people are happy with this decision, but they think more changes are needed to make the assessment fair and easier for students.
DU withdrew the requirement for fourth-year students to submit a 30-minute video presentation for end-term assessment under NEP.
The decision was made to address concerns about the fairness and practicality of the video requirement.
Grades will not be withheld due to the absence of video submissions.
The video requirement was intended to assess students' progress on research or project work.
Critics argued that the video requirement could disadvantage students without access to technology and increase anxiety.
