US Withdraws B-1 Bombers From RAF Fairford After Security Incident

The United States moved all of its B-1 bombers away from an airbase in England and back to the United States.

The base had recently been used for US operations related to Iran.

Police went to the area after a farmer reported suspicious people and vans.

People living in 85 nearby homes had to leave while police investigated.

Investigators said they found petrol in the vans, but no explosives.

Five men were arrested and later released on bail.

President Donald Trump criticized that decision.

Marco Rubio said a foreign actor might have been involved, but Iran's embassy denied that Iran was involved.

Officials did not say that the bomber withdrawal was caused by the incident.
