Pakistan's Reported Sudan Arms Deal Sparks Baloch, Indian Concerns

Pakistan's Reported Sudan Arms Deal Sparks Baloch, Indian Concerns

Countries sometimes buy weapons from other countries.

Pakistan is a country that makes military vehicles and drones.

Some people say Pakistan is secretly selling about $1.5 billion worth of weapons to Sudan, which is fighting a civil war.

People spotted Pakistani armoured vehicles in a military parade in Sudan's capital city, Khartoum.

Neither Pakistan nor Sudan has officially said the deal is real.

Indian intelligence sources worry the deal could help China and Pakistan get stronger near important shipping routes used by ships.

They also worry the weapons could fall into the hands of dangerous groups.

A group called the Baloch Peoples Congress is upset because it fears the money from the deal could be used to hurt people in Pakistan's Balochistan region.

The group also says the weapons could make Sudan's war more dangerous for millions of civilians.

No one has proven these claims yet.
