Bengaluru Faces 5-Hour Power Outage in 40 Areas for Maintenance
Imagine Bengaluru's electricity system is like a big water pipe that needs a check-up.
The company that delivers electricity, called BESCOM, needs to work on a part of the system called the Banaswadi substation.
To do this safely, they have to turn off the electricity for a few hours.
This means that on Thursday, November 13, from 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon, about 40 neighborhoods won't have power.
BESCOM is telling everyone to get ready by charging their phones and laptops beforehand so they aren't too inconvenienced.
This work is important to make sure the electricity keeps working well for everyone in the future.
Bengaluru will experience a 5-hour power cut on November 13 (Thursday) from 11 AM to 4 PM.
The outage is due to essential maintenance work at the 66/11 kV Banaswadi substation by BESCOM.
Approximately 40 areas across the city will be affected by the power disruption.
Key affected localities include Kalyan Nagar, Hennur Village, Chellikere, and Ramamurthy Nagar Main Road.
