Andhra Pradesh to Resume Fair Price Shop Supplies
The government in Andhra Pradesh is changing how it gives out food to people who need it.
Starting June 1, 2025, instead of delivering food to homes (which wasn't working well), the government will distribute it through Fair Price shops.
These shops will be open twice a day for half of the month.
This change aims to make sure everyone gets their food and to prevent any problems.
People who can't easily go to the shops, like those with disabilities or the elderly, will have their food delivered to them.
Essential goods will be supplied through Fair Price shops in Andhra Pradesh.
Distribution will occur twice daily for 15 days each month, starting June 1.
The previous government's door-to-door delivery was ineffective.
Ration supplies will be available at Fair Price shops from the 1st to the 15th of each month.
The government will deliver ration supplies directly to the homes of differently-abled individuals and senior citizens over 65.
