Toxic Review: Yash Leads Geetu Mohandas’s Ambitious Gangster Fairy Tale
Toxic is a movie about people living in a dangerous gangster world.
It is set in Goa after independence.
The story is also about family, love, jealousy, loyalty and revenge.
Yash plays two important characters named Raya and Ticket.
One review says Ticket is Raya’s son, while both reviews describe the roles as very different.
The first half takes time to explain the characters and their relationships.
The second half becomes much more violent and action-filled.
The action matters because it is connected to the characters’ personal feelings and choices.
The film mixes a dark fairy-tale feeling with a large-scale gangster story.
Set in post-independence Goa, Toxic blends gangster drama with family, love, loyalty, revenge and redemption.
Yash plays Raya and Ticket, with one review identifying Ticket as Raya’s son, while the other emphasizes their contrasting roles.
Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and other supporting actors receive distinct character arcs.
The patient first half establishes relationships and motivations before delivering a major interval sequence.
The second half brings larger, rawer violence while keeping the emotional focus on family, love and personal consequences.
