Non-bailable warrant against Sanjay Raut cancelled due to hospitalization
Imagine a court case where someone, Sanjay Raut, was supposed to go but didn't show up a few times.
The judge was upset and issued a warrant, like a special order, saying he must come to court.
But Sanjay Raut's lawyer told the judge that Sanjay is in the hospital and is very sick.
Because he couldn't come due to his health, the judge decided to cancel the warrant.
This means Sanjay doesn't have to be arrested for not showing up this time, as the judge understood he was unable to attend.
A special court cancelled a non-bailable warrant against Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut.
The warrant was issued in a defamation case filed by Medha Somaiya.
Medha Somaiya's lawyer had requested the warrant, stating Raut and his advocate were absent from proceedings.
Raut's lawyer informed the court that he has been hospitalized and is in serious condition.
The court accepted the reason and cancelled the warrant.
