Delhi Assembly Panel Defers Sheesh Mahal Visit Over Confidentiality Leak
A Delhi Assembly committee planned to visit a home once used by Arvind Kejriwal.
The home is often called “Sheesh Mahal.”
The visit was postponed because the committee chairman said private information about its work had been made public.
The committee is checking questions about construction costs, contractors, payments and approvals.
It is also examining a staff block that reportedly was not built as originally planned.
The committee will ask Speaker Vijender Gupta for guidance and may seek legal advice.
The Aam Aadmi Party said the BJP was afraid the inspection would reveal the truth.
AAP also questioned reports that masked people entered the property at night.
The Delhi Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee deferred its planned inspection of Arvind Kejriwal’s former residence at 6 Flagstaff Road.
PAC chairman Ajay Mahawar alleged that confidential proceedings were made public and given a political colour.

The review includes construction-area expansion, about Rs 18.88 crore in additional costs and Rs 45.90 lakh spent on curtains.
