Nashik Association Alleges Hoarding Approvals Despite ₹2 Crore Dues

Nashik Association Alleges Hoarding Approvals Despite ₹2 Crore Dues

An advertising association in Nashik says there may have been problems with how billboard permits were issued.

It says a 2022 tender was meant for 28 sites, but permits were given for more than 40 billboards.

The association also says a company with about ₹2 crore in unpaid dues received permission for 18 new billboards.

It questioned why the project’s estimated cost stayed at ₹25.90 lakh.

The group says 11 illegal hoardings have not been removed.

It also alleges that hoarding locations were shifted at 12 places, even though the rules did not allow this.

The association has asked the municipal commissioner to investigate.

It wants strict action against officials or contractors found responsible.
