Bengaluru Extends Liquor Hours for New Year
In Bengaluru, the police have allowed liquor shops and bars to stay open longer for New Year's Eve.
Normally, they can sell liquor from 10:30 am to 12 midnight, but for this special day, they can start at 6 am and stay open until 1 am.
This is only for places with a special license called CL-5.
The police are also making sure everything is safe by checking different areas and talking to business owners.
They want to prevent any problems and keep everyone, especially women, safe during the celebrations.
The Chief Minister has also instructed the deployment of 20,000 personnel, including 1,200 from other districts, to ensure safety.
Additional measures include the deployment of women police, Chennamma forces, and the use of modern technology to manage crowds and prevent overcrowding.
