Digvijaya Singh Slams RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat for Comparing RSS Non-Registration to Hinduism
A politician named Digvijaya Singh is upset with the head of a group called RSS, Mohan Bhagwat.
Digvijaya Singh says that when Bhagwat said the RSS doesn't need to be registered like a company, and then said Hinduism isn't registered either, it was very insulting.
He thinks comparing the RSS to Hinduism is wrong because Hinduism is ancient and sacred.
Digvijaya Singh believes the RSS should register itself and be open about its money, like other organizations.
He is asking Bhagwat to apologize.
However, Bhagwat and his supporters say the RSS is just a group of people, not a company, and that many things, including religions, are not registered.
They also say the government has never forced them to register after India became independent.
They believe Digvijaya Singh is just making noise to get attention.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh accused RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat of insulting followers of Sanatan Dharma.
Singh condemned Bhagwat's comparison of RSS's non-registration to Hinduism, calling it historically inaccurate and arrogant.
Bhagwat had stated on November 9 that the RSS, established in 1925, is a recognized body of individuals and not required to register, likening its status to that of Hindu dharma.
Singh demanded an apology from Bhagwat and questioned the RSS's evasion of registration laws despite significant financial transactions.
The BJP in Madhya Pradesh defended Bhagwat, accusing Singh of making baseless allegations for media attention.

RSS Registration vs. Hinduism
Digvijaya Singh (Congress)
Comparing the RSS's non-registration to Hinduism is an insult to millions of Sanatan Dharma followers, historically inaccurate, and shows arrogance and ignorance. Hinduism and no religion are registered.
BJP & RSS Perspective
The RSS is a body of individuals, not required to register like a company. Comparing it to Hinduism is apt because Hindu dharma itself is not registered. The RSS was established after the British left, and the Indian government never made registration compulsory.
Motivation for Non-Registration
Digvijaya Singh (Congress)
The RSS evades registration laws despite income and expenditure worth crores, showing a lack of faith in the constitutional system. Bhagwat should produce the order exempting the RSS from income tax.
BJP & RSS Perspective
The IT department and courts recognize the RSS as a body of individuals and have granted income tax exemption. Many entities are not registered. Bhagwat's statement was in response to Congress swipes over the RSS operating without registration.
