Starlink to Launch Satellite Internet in India by 2025
Starlink, owned by Elon Musk, is planning to bring satellite internet to India.
They've gotten temporary permission to start trials.
This means they'll set up ground stations, starting with a hub in Mumbai.
The launch is expected by 2025.
The internet speeds could range from 25 to 220 Mbps.
It might cost around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 for the equipment, plus a monthly fee of Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,200.
This is meant to give internet to places that don't have it now.
Starlink has secured temporary spectrum approval from India's Department of Telecommunications.
The service launch is anticipated before the end of 2025.
Starlink will install base stations across 10 sites, with Mumbai as a central hub.
Internet speed is projected to range from 25 Mbps up to 220 Mbps.
Estimated costs include a one-time equipment charge and monthly subscription fees.
