NSCN(K) Leader Criticizes Centre for Prolonging Naga Peace Talks
Niki Sumi, a leader from the NSCN(K) group, spoke to the press about the Naga peace talks.
He said the Indian government is taking too long to solve the problem and thinks the Naga people will give up.
But he said the Naga people are smart and will not accept a bad solution.
He also talked about how the Naga groups are divided and need to work together.
He criticized some leaders for working with Indian intelligence to cause trouble.
He compared the different approaches of the NSCN-IM and the NNPG in the peace talks.
The NSCN-IM wants a separate flag and constitution, but the government has not agreed to this.
The NNPG is willing to accept what they can get now and fight for the rest later.
Sumi urged people to read both agreements carefully and accept the reality.
NSCN(K) leader Niki Sumi criticized the Centre for prolonging Naga peace talks, accusing it of thinking Nagas will tire out.
Sumi emphasized the need for unity among Naga political groups and civil society to resolve the Naga political issue.
He claimed that some Naga leaders are managed by Indian intelligence agencies to sow discord among the groups.
Sumi contrasted the NSCN-IM's demand for a separate flag and constitution with the NNPG's willingness to accept achievable solutions now.
The stalemate in peace talks persists due to differing demands, with the Centre not accepting the NSCN-IM's demands for a flag and constitution.
