Andhra Pradesh Wins National Award for PMFME Implementation

Andhra Pradesh received an award for helping small food businesses grow.

The award was linked to the PMFME government scheme.

The Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty helped women in rural self-help groups.

These women received seed money and subsidised bank loans.

The support helped them start or expand food-processing businesses.

The government checked how well the programme served women and used its funds.

Union minister Chirag Paswan presented the award in New Delhi.

Officials said the recognition could encourage more rural women to become entrepreneurs.
