State to Collaborate with Tax Department on Women's Scheme
The government is teaming up with the tax department to make sure that a women's welfare program, called Majhi Ladki Bahin, is working correctly.
They will share information about the women who are getting money from the program.
This helps them to know if the people receiving money have family members who pay taxes.
They will also sign an agreement to keep the names and details of the taxpayers safe and secret.
This is done to protect the privacy of the taxpayers and ensure that everything is done the right way.
The state women and child development department plans to sign an MoU with the Income Tax department.
The MoU aims to exchange data on women beneficiaries of the Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme.
Information exchange will include details of beneficiaries with taxpayer family members.
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) will be part of the MoU to protect taxpayer identities.
The agreement is to ensure the security of shared information.
