iPhone 17 Air: Apple's First Global e-SIM Only iPhone?
Apple is planning to release the iPhone 17 Air without a physical SIM card, using only digital e-SIMs worldwide.
The launch is expected on September 9.
This could make the phone more secure, since the SIM cannot be removed if the device is stolen.
The Air model might be the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever, with a 6.6-inch display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It will have a single 48MP rear camera.
The e-SIM only approach might extend to other iPhone 17 models.
Apple's iPhone 17 Air may be the first iPhone to eliminate the physical SIM card globally.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch at the September 9 event.
Retail employees in the EU are undergoing e-SIM training.
The device is expected to feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion OLED display and a 48MP rear camera.
The design could be the thinnest and lightest iPhone to date.
