Businessman Arrested for Rs 9-Crore Bentley Fraud
A businessman named Satya Prakash Bagla was arrested for cheating investors.
He owned a company called Exclusive Capital (ECL) that took money from people, including a senior citizen couple.
Instead of using the money properly, he and his friends bought expensive cars, like a Bentley, and gave loans to their own companies.
A report by a former judge found that ECL spent a lot of money on cars but didn't have proper records, making it seem like the cars might not even exist.
The police want to investigate more to find out what really happened to the investors' money.
Satya Prakash Bagla, owner of ECL, was arrested for fraud involving luxury car purchases and shady loans.
Investors, including a senior citizen couple, were allegedly misled and their money was siphoned off.
ECL spent Rs 9.09 crore on a Bentley Bentayga, with suspicions of overpayment and lack of proper records.
A report by former judge RK Gauba highlighted financial irregularities and questioned the existence of the luxury cars.
The court granted police custody to investigate further, including visits to Mumbai to gather more details.
