Ramdev urges breaking walls of hatred on 80th Independence Day

On Independence Day, a famous yoga teacher named Baba Ramdev gave a speech in Haridwar, India.

He had just put up the Indian flag at a special ceremony.

He told people that they should stop hating each other because of caste or religion.

He said people from all different groups should learn to live together in peace.

He promised to help tear down the old idea of 'divide and rule' that keeps people apart.

He said true independence means India having its own schools, hospitals and economy.

He also talked about young people, saying some do great things while others make trouble in the streets.

He asked everyone to fight for their rights using legal and democratic ways.

Finally, he told political leaders from both sides to be friendly and respect one another.
