Siraj Can Fill Bumrah Void, Says Murali Kartik
India has a famous fast bowler named Jasprit Bumrah who throws the ball very fast.
Bumrah hurt his knee and has not gotten better, so he cannot play in the upcoming matches against Sri Lanka.
That leaves a big gap in India's bowling team.
A bowler named Mohammed Siraj is now the most experienced fast bowler on the team.
He will have to take on more responsibility and lead the bowling attack.
A former Indian bowler named Murali Kartik talked about this in an interview.
Kartik thinks Siraj should be the one to lead India's speed attack.
He also says Siraj's job could be very important in Sri Lanka.
The first match starts on August 15 in a place called Galle.
Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the two-Test series against Sri Lanka after failing to fully recover from a left-knee injury.
The first Test is scheduled to start in Galle on August 15.
Mohammed Siraj is expected to take on more responsibility as the senior pacer in India's relatively inexperienced attack.
Former India spinner Murali Kartik said in an exclusive Times Now interview that Siraj should spearhead India's speed attack while Bumrah is away.
Kartik believes Siraj's contribution could be vital for India given the circumstances in Sri Lanka.
