Mani Shankar Aiyar Calls for Renewed India-Pakistan Dialogue
Mani Shankar Aiyar wants India and Pakistan to talk again.
He asked why the countries can take military action but cannot meet to discuss their disagreements.
He spoke about this at an event in Srinagar.
He suggested that the two sides could meet at the Attari-Wagah border.
A table could be placed right on the border, he said, so neither group would have to enter the other country.
Aiyar also said the countries do not have to solve every problem at once.
They could leave the hardest issues for later and return to them when the situation is better.
Congress leader and former Union minister Mani Shankar Aiyar called for renewed dialogue between India and Pakistan.
He questioned why India could take military action against Pakistan but not hold talks with Islamabad.
Aiyar spoke at the fifth Halla Bolle conclave in Srinagar.
