3 Die as Car Plunges Into Gorge on Slippery Darjeeling Road
A car carrying eight people was driving on a mountain road in Darjeeling late on Thursday night.
It had been raining a lot, making the road very slippery.
The car lost control, possibly because of the slippery conditions and the steepness of the road, and fell into a deep gorge.
Sadly, three people in the car died.
The other five people were badly hurt and are in the hospital.
Local people helped in the rescue.
The weather forecast also predicted more heavy rain.

Three people died in the accident, with two confirmed dead at the scene and one succumbing to injuries later.
