Bengal CM Warns Arrests Over Separatist Slogans, Bans Palestinian Flags
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said people can protest against the government.
He said slogans such as “Inquilab Zindabad” are allowed.
However, he warned that slogans supporting freedom for Kashmir could lead to arrests.
He also said Palestinian flags cannot be used in processions in the state.
Religious flags and the Indian flag will still be allowed.
Adhikari said arrests had already been made after Palestinian flags were allegedly found at an Islamic procession.
He also said slogans praising Maoist leader Kishanji would not be accepted at universities.

He said Palestinian flags would not be permitted in processions in West Bengal.
Adhikari said religious flags, Indian flags, and protests against the government would remain allowed.
He said slogans such as “Inquilab Zindabad” were permissible, but “Azaadi” slogans could lead to a case.
The chief minister also rejected “Red Salute” references to Maoist leader Kishanji and called for constructive criticism.
