Assam CM Highlights Rs 778 Crore Investment, Jobs, Value Chains

Assam is trying to bring more businesses and investment to the state.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said Rs 778 crore has been invested.

He said this can create more jobs for local people.

He gave the example of a potato grown in Assam becoming part of a Lay’s packet.

This means farm products can be processed and packaged inside larger business supply chains.

Farmers, factories, transport companies and shops can all benefit from this process.

The government wants products made in Assam to be sold outside the state.

It also wants industrial growth to help local communities and producers.
