Shares Worth ₹21,000 Crore to Free Up
This week, shares worth over ₹21,000 crore from 11 companies will become available for trading.
This happens because the lock-in periods for these shares are ending.
Some of the companies include Wakefit Innovations, ICICI Prudential AMC, Canara HSBC Life Insurance, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and Canara Robeco AMC.
The end of the lock-in period means these shares can now be bought and sold in the market.
However, it doesn't mean all these shares will be sold immediately.
The shares are worth different amounts, with some companies having more shares available than others.
For example, Wakefit Innovations has 14.9 million shares worth ₹257 crore becoming available, while Emcure Pharmaceuticals has 38 million shares worth ₹5,862 crore.
These shares have been locked in for different periods, ranging from one month to six months or more.
The prices of these shares have changed since their initial offering, with some trading higher and others lower than their issue prices.
Shares worth nearly ₹21,001.99 crore from 11 companies to become eligible for trading as shareholder lock-in periods expire.
