Karnataka CM praises Council Secretariat recruitment model
The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, praised the way the Karnataka Legislative Council Secretariat hired new people and promoted existing staff.
He said it was very fair and professional.
They used a special organization called KEA to conduct exams and select people based on their marks.
They also had strict rules to make sure everything was fair, like using cameras to watch the process and having people from outside the state check documents.
Many people from rural areas and even a woman with visually impaired parents were selected.
The Chief Minister said this is a great example for other government departments to follow.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah praised the transparent and professional recruitment model in the Karnataka Legislative Council Secretariat.
The recruitment process was conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) with a 1:1 final selection ratio.
Document verification was done by officials from the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
A Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) was constituted to address long-pending promotion grievances.
The process adhered to constitutional provisions and reservation norms for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Kalyana Karnataka.
