Indian Real Estate Sees Record Investments in 2025
Last year, a lot more money was invested in Indian real estate than ever before, reaching a record $8.47 billion.
Most of this money came from investors within India, which more than doubled from the previous year.
However, money from foreign investors decreased by 16% due to problems happening around the world.
The biggest type of property that got investments was office spaces, which made up more than half of all investments.
India's office market also did really well, with a 94% increase in investments.
This is because many global companies set up offices in India, especially in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi.
Experts think that investments will continue to grow in the future because of India's strong economy and more money available from local investors.
Institutional investments in Indian real estate rose 29% to a record $8.47 billion in 2025, up from $6.56 billion in 2024.
Domestic investments more than doubled to $4.82 billion in 2025, while foreign investments dipped 16% to $3.65 billion.
Office assets attracted the bulk of investments, accounting for 54% of the annual inflows.
India's office market witnessed a 94% increase in institutional investments to $4.53 billion in 2025, with GCCs accounting for 38% of total annual transactions.
The increase in investments is attributed to expanding domestic capital and improving global risk appetite, while foreign investments dipped due to global uncertainties.
