VHP Calls Jamiat Chief’s Remarks Threat to India’s Sovereignty

The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind said some government actions were unfairly targeting Muslims.

It mentioned demolitions, mob attacks, and concerns about religious and civil rights.

Its leader, Mahmood Madani, said the issue might be raised in international forums.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad strongly objected to this statement.

VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said it threatened India’s sovereignty.

He also said demolished structures were illegal buildings, not protected places of worship.

The two organizations therefore disagree about both the government actions and how they should be challenged.

The VHP urged Muslims to reject what it called provocative clerics.

The report does not establish whether the allegations by either side are legally proven.
