Warner Bros Leads Oscar Race with Sinners and One Battle After Another
Warner Bros has two big movies, Sinners and One Battle After Another, that many people think will win a lot of Oscars.
Sinners is about twin brothers fighting vampires and racism in the 1930s, and One Battle After Another is about a retired revolutionary looking for his daughter.
Both movies have famous actors and directors, and they are expected to get many nominations.
The Oscars will announce the nominees soon, and the awards show will be in March.
There are also new categories this year, like best casting.
Other movies from different companies are also in the running for awards.
Warner Bros films Sinners and One Battle After Another are leading the Oscar race with expected double-digit nominations.
Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, is a period horror film set in the segregated American South.
One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is an unconventional thriller about a retired revolutionary.
Both films are expected to compete in major categories, including best picture and acting honours.
The Oscars will introduce a new category for best casting this year, with no previous winners to set a benchmark.
