Global NCAP Mandates ESC for Car Safety Ratings
Global NCAP, a car safety organization, has updated its rules.
They now require cars to have electronic stability control (ESC) to get at least a 2-star safety rating.
This means cars must have a system to help prevent skidding.
Also, tests for side impacts and pedestrian safety are now required.
The scoring system for safety has changed too, making it more detailed to measure how well cars protect adults and children.
Global NCAP mandates ESC for a minimum 2-star safety rating.
ESC must be standard across all variants.
Side impact and pedestrian protection testing are now mandatory.
Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) scoring system has been revised.
Child Occupant Protection (COP) assessment has been strengthened.
