Odisha Man Severed Tongue Outside Kali Temple
A man named Kiran Patra, who works as a labourer, cut off his own tongue with a knife outside a Kali temple in a village in Odisha.
He was found by people near the temple gate in a pool of blood.
He was taken to a health centre and then to a hospital where doctors said he was stable.
Police think the act might be related to a fight with his family the night before.
They are looking into it but have not filed a criminal case yet.
Kiran Patra, 36, allegedly severed his tongue with a knife outside a Kali temple in Hansatuli village, Ganjam district, Odisha.
Locals found him in a pool of blood near the temple gate on a Sunday morning.
He was first taken to Khallikote community health centre, then to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where his condition was reported stable.
