North Bengal University explores green energy, battery and AI courses
North Bengal University is thinking about offering courses in new technology areas.
These include clean energy, batteries, artificial intelligence and environmentally friendly processes.
The state higher education department asked universities to study these subjects more closely.
The request followed a national conference held in December 2025.
The university has already researched low-cost materials for green hydrogen.
Its chemistry department also received money for new research equipment.

Its chemistry department recently received ₹25 lakh through the state’s WB-FIST programme, partly for an electrochemical workstation.
