Tribal Children Affected as Madhya Pradesh School Remains Shut

Tribal Children Affected as Madhya Pradesh School Remains Shut

A government school in Bet village has been closed for several days.

The village children, many of whom are tribal, rely on this school for education.

Villagers say the guest teacher comes to teach only once or twice a month.

They say they complained to officials several times, but nothing changed.

Reports in newspapers also did not lead to immediate action, according to the villagers.

Education official Sangeeta Yadav said an investigation would take place on Thursday.

Sub-divisional magistrate Vijay Rai also said he would ask education officials to examine the matter.

If the teacher is found responsible, officials said action could be taken.
