Karachi Protests Over Power and Water Shortages Paralyze Traffic

People in Karachi protested because they said their electricity and water supplies had been unreliable for a long time.

They blocked several important roads to make their concerns heard.

This caused traffic jams across many parts of the city.

Thousands of people were stuck for hours.

Ambulances were also delayed by the blocked roads.

K-Electric said that unpaid electricity bills and power theft were contributing to the problem.

The company said some affected areas had feeder losses of more than 80 percent.

The Sindh chief minister asked officials to help residents and clear the roads.
