Villagers Resist CJP School Inspection in Jaipur Dispute

Villagers Resist CJP School Inspection in Jaipur Dispute

A political group called the Cockroach Janata Party visited a village school near Jaipur.

The group wanted to inspect the building and learn about conditions for students and teachers.

Villagers stopped the team and reportedly pushed its members away.

CJP leaders said some workers were assaulted, stones were thrown, phones were damaged and vehicles were smashed.

Police said the first meeting was peaceful, but a later confrontation happened after the workers returned.

The school building had been declared unsafe, so children were studying in a temporary place near it.

Villagers said repair money had already been approved and they did not want political groups involved.

The disagreement has created a debate about school inspections, children’s privacy and poor public-school facilities.
