AP to Launch Garuda Scheme for Poor Brahmins
The Andhra Pradesh government is going to start a new program called the Garuda scheme.
This program will help poor Brahmin families when someone in their family passes away.
The government will give them Rs 10,000 to help with the hard times.
The minister, S. Savitha, talked about this after a meeting with the chairman of the Brahmin Corporation.
The chief minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has been helping Brahmins for a long time.
He started the Brahmin Corporation in 2014 to help Brahmins become self-employed and economically strong.
There are other programs too, like Bharati and Gayatri, that help Brahmins with education and jobs.
The previous government stopped these programs, but now the current government is bringing them back and adding new ones.
