Amul Dairy to Boost Milk Prices, Reduce Feed Costs
Amul Dairy, a big milk company, is giving farmers more money for their milk.
Starting in June, they'll pay Rs 10 more for each kilogram of fat in the milk.
This is good news for over 7 lakh milk farmers who sell milk to Amul.
The company is also making cattle feed cheaper, so farmers spend less on feeding their cows.
A bag of cattle feed will cost less now.
Amul is doing this for the first time, increasing the price of milk and decreasing the price of cattle feed at the same time.
This helps the farmers earn more and lowers their costs.
Amul Dairy will raise milk procurement prices by Rs 10 per kilogram of fat.
The price increase takes effect from June 1st.
The price hike will benefit over 7 lakh milk producers.
Cattle feed prices are being reduced by 50 paisa per kilogram.
The new procurement price is the highest in Gujarat.
