Sensex, Nifty Rise on Falling Oil, Strong FII Inflows
The two biggest stock market indexes in India, called the Sensex and the Nifty, went up a lot on Monday.
They climbed about 500 to 650 points, which is a big jump.
The rise happened because oil prices fell, making it cheaper for companies to run.
Money from investors outside India also came in, buying stocks.
The Indian currency, the rupee, got stronger, which helped the market too.
Good company earnings also made people feel confident.
All these things together made the market go up.
Sensex climbed 544 points to 78,639, Nifty rose 390 to 24,774.
Sensex jumped 654 points to 78,748, Nifty up 213 to 24,597.
Brent crude fell 4.6–4.9%, easing inflation worries and lifting sentiment.
Foreign institutional investors became net buyers, investing over Rs 20,200 crore in equities.
A stronger rupee (up 31 paise to 95.12) and solid corporate earnings supported the rally.
