TRAI-RBI Pilot for Digital Consent Management
The TRAI and RBI are working together on a pilot project to help some customers manage their consents for promotional messages.
Soon, some people will get SMS messages from their telecom providers.
These messages will have a link to a special page where customers can see and change the permissions they gave to banks for sending promotional content.
The pilot involves nine telecom companies and eleven banks.
Customers can choose to keep, change, or remove their consents.
The banks are uploading old consents to a digital platform for this pilot.
